I have many good memories growing up in East Harlem Wagner Projects. I attended PS80 and then went to JHS45 just across the street. Many of my school mates from PS80 also went ont to attend JHS45, It was like a family seeing all those faces day after day for so many years, growing up in the same neighborhood. I miss those friends very much. I lost contact with them when I went on to attend HS in the Bronx, Dodge Vocational HS. I havent been able to remember last names of my friends but I remember many faces and first names such as Albert who always had a crush on me, and even after I divorced was still interested in dating me but I was not sure of what I wanted in my life. Zoraida we always sat together in PS80's auditorium. I remember also a guy name Luis who had a crush on me and a girl name Arlene. He didn't know which to pick and was always flirting with us. Luis went on to JHS45 than moved out of the neighborhood. Never saw him again. I remember my Social Studies teacher, Mr. Walfish and some of the kids in our class like Miguel who was always being teased cause he was so short, Wilfredo who all the girls had a crush on.
